one xREDballoon
is how she signs her name.

She developed a love for fashion, but can't tell the difference between avant garde and a five-year-old's ruined art project. She likes platform shoes with crazy heels, very detailed black lace, truckloads of ruffles, and as many quotes as tumblr can fit. She's a Pisces with an attitude to match, and lives in her own planet with a fourth wall. Famously talks at people without them bothering to listen.

She writes,
and she loves it.

Lessee, so many days without an update. recap times.

well, on wednesday, i had this sadistically happy sms from siao meng that she passed the vip thing and was shortlisted even though she didn't want to get in, and her personal message blank was like empty... so i went to check mine and after scratching my head and puzzling over it, i realized that i have yet to fill in the sec 1/2 results and so filled them in happily. then i went to check the test results and they said 'pass'. but when i went to the interview thing it said 'the interview schedule and timing will be shown if you have passed'. so i went 'o_O' and decided that i might be in for a wait. and so after two hours the e-mail came whizzing in and i was dancing all over the house with joy.

as always, mum was pessimistic. my results blah blah blah.

then after a rather successful guzheng practise, i went marching home and nothing eventful happened. then Aithein dropped by. in the end we met for breakfast (for me and i had to buy takeway at macs for him and i was worrying that he had woken up and would like staaaaaarve cause he's a food pit) and we went to my house as planned. we messed around with the computer, went through my graphics collection (especially the not-a-icon folder where the pictures are) and watched vids on youtube while messing with my tablet. she took particular interest at the background of my convo window too. to quote, 'the bare-chestedness is distracting'. not distracting enough for me actually.then it was ff8 time and then we watched the ayumi hamasaki bonus dvd in the album she got me for my b'day. (i was a little disappointed i couldn't give my share of presents. my sketchbook just went on a 'ooh let's make julian play seeker this time' and is buried... somewhere) we were going all 'ooh, Koda Kumi style!' and the like throughtout. after that, nothing quite interesting happened that i could recall until friday when Mum brought Dear Cousin Piggy(refer previous posts) home. So he doesn't get on my nerves quite as often, but things get frustrating when all you want to do is sit down and read a good fic and you can't because your cousin is killing the characters in the final fantasy ps game and pulverising the controller while he's at it. not to mention that he doesn't act thirteen. he doesn't even look thirteen too anyway, so it's almost forgivable.

had a spinal reassessment on saturday. seems like things are doing okay, but the growth check people informed me and my consultant that my 'growth rate is steadily slowing down' and the consultant lady was like 'now is that good news or bad news?' and of course, i was 'bad! i wanted to grow taller!'. mmm, another 3cm to my dream height. darned. but according to lady consultant, it's good for my spine cause it'll stop being so curved. in the end, the curve was apparently worse (7 degrees worth) and she said to skip the spine scan and go straight to the fourth level of the SHB for an x-ray. upon which i had to change into their standard issue turquiose x-ray robe (which was like this huuuuuge bedsheet in the weird teal colour) and i couldn't wear anything metallic nor could i wear my jade pendant so off those offending items went and into the bedsheet i go. after the x-ray where one had to hug the huge metal thingy while radiowaves go through your body and bounce off at the bone, the scan thing was brought to lady consultant and she points the place where it's curved and we went 'oh oh oh'. in the end, i was scheduled for another appointment this november and she says the usual: "if nothing goes wrong we can discharge you". Wow, so i was some outpatient huh?

and i finally got myself a swim suit. just went swimming today cause mum says it's good for my spine and because DCP wanted to go. in the end, the person who insisted we go swimming didn't do much swimming, and i ended up improving a little bit. well, i was taught how to swim like twice, but forgot how to swim soon after and went out of practise. not that i'm going to win any awards or anything, but i can tread water so i'm not so likely to drown.

speaking of which, dad was surprisingly happy when i told him about me being shortlisted. he even spoke up for me a little when mum brought out my ugly math results to air to the entire world like for the 12936189472th time. he even told me to go read /watch the news more cause the jc staff like students versed in current affairs. well, that's quite alright, i have Iota-niisan to help me in times of a stretch and my parents get real enthu when it gets to things like that. especially when dad starts going on about the stock market, the economy and currency inflation etc. i think i might take econs somewhere later in my life, it does sound rather fascinating even if number crunching isn't my kind of thing.

oh and abigail, if you ever read this, stop reading "The Games We Play" immediately. it's bad for the eyes. Try reading "Catnip Dream" instead, it is much much much more better. and my lemon allergy is better too. Mwee~ back to fanfiction.

speaking of which, DCP isn't good in english which is why he pulverizes the ff8 game cause it's in english. but i get a little 'o_O' when he comes to see what i'm up to at the computer. especially i'm reading something especially damning somewhat.
