Heyhey people,
Aren't romance novels just the most horrendous things in this world?
*cricket chirp*
Well, they are. Try reading Sense and Sensibility (by Jane Austen) without falling asleep. It's horrendous, I promise. Unless you like all the wishy-washy, mushy romance stuff with an extra heavy dosage of old english. I don't, because of this article I read somewhere in Discover magazine my kor bought on a monthly basis: Love, a chemical reaction.
I was weaned off love stories by that. Because... well 'Love is a dirty trick played on the community to ensure continuity of the species.' Where's the proof? Try watching Animal Planet every single day during the holidays. You'd be surprised.
Yet, I enjoy reading Fanfiction's love stories, because well, they're less on the courtship and Romeo-Juliet trash, which is a great saviour for me because I can't stand it. I'll simply tumble over laughing. But all the angst love stories are yummy, I could eat them for lunch.
Ever tried to write a love story? I have, ad it's only about say, 3 pages? 1325 words I presume, I can't recall. And yes you can read it, I'm trying to print it without my printer conking out.
Just that remember, I'm a sadistic person and the leads never get together, because I like the Angst factor in stories.
Oh, and the story's name is Stricken. You'll know why.
Bye bye <3
